thousand用于修饰名词，虚指很多人或物，不定数量的时候用复数形式 。例如，thousands of books，意思是成千上万本书 。如果有具体的数字或者several修饰，指具体的一定数量的人或物就不能加s了例如，two thousand books，（2千本书），severalbooks（几千本书）
